Three year partnership

DUNBRITTON Housing Association is pleased to announce that the Association has awarded local Contractor Leonard Builders with a THREE year Partnership Contract to carry out our Day to Day repairs that will take effect from April 1. Their existing contract with Carillion PME will terminated on March 31.

Leonard Builders have been established in Dumbarton since 1968.  They are a multi trade company who provide employment to 40+ staff within our area of operation.  The new Partnership valued at approximately £350k, will ensure that two 3rd year apprentices, 1 x Joiner and 1 x Plumber will now be offered full time positions with the Local Company.

As always, the Association welcomes feedback from our Tenants on this change.  On completion of repairs all Tenants will be offered the opportunity to return satisfaction surveys to enable us to monitor the contractor’s performance.

Claire Connor, Senior Technical Services Officer said: "We have worked with Leonard Builders on previous projects, and have confidence that they will provide a quality service to our tenants.  I'm delighted that local employment opportunity has been secured as a result of this partnership and look forward to working with Leonards over the next 3 years."

At the signing of the partnership agreement Carol Haldane-Callaghan, Convenor of Dunbritton’s Technical Services Sub-Committee said, “Dunbritton’s Committee is thrilled that a local firm has won the contract.  We are certain that our tenants will continue to receive the quality of service they have come to expect.”

Jack Leonard of Leonard Builders responded saying “Leonard Builders are delighted to have been awarded the contract with DHA.  As a local company employing some 43 local personnel we feel that we can offer a personal and comprehensive service.  The contract also allows us to plan and safeguard local jobs during this difficult trading period.”
